Currently we are running with ASterisk 1.4 and have been for a couple of years with Thirdlane MTE. I see that 1.6.2.8 supports multiple parking lots. Is MTE setup to utilize this feature?
I am not sure that I want to run Asterisk 1.6, are there any sucess storys of MTE users running 1.6, if so how long have you been on it?
If I were going to do it, what would be the best way to upgrade from 1.4 to 1.6. I would imagine a fresh reload, but can I restore the backup from the 1.4 setup to the 1.6?
Thanks,
Chris

I am running 1.6.2.8 with MTE. I have tested it in the lab and it seems to work. I have not tested call parking. My first customer installs are occuring over the next few weeks. I will post back here to report my customer's experience with 1.6.2.

i cant remember the specific bug but alex informed me that he was told something important was broken in 1.6.2.8 and that it was fixed in 1.6.2.9. I wish I could remember the feature.

Hi k3leland,
Did you get your sites up, have you tried the multitenant parking?
Thanks,

I do not yet have any active
I do not yet have any active customers using the parking features. However it works perfect in my test environment. I did upgrade to 1.6.2.9 since my last post. For the parking I basically followed these instructions:

Sorry for forgetting to post back!
in order for it to work the dialplan scripts have to be modified. This happens automatically whenever pbxmanager runs an upgrade as part of its post-install script. so to go from a 1.4 branch to some 1.6 branch you are going to have to re-run a webmin thirdlane module to execute the post-install script. In 1.6.2.x you also need to copy over the sample cli_aliases.conf file and make sure you have aliases for at least reload and restart now.
