Call Forwarding

Could someone please point me in the right direction -Forward Follow me is not working- in bound callers only get ringing -never goes to voice mail, called extension only gets a partial ring.

Could you please be more specific - what do you mean by "never goes to voicemail"? How is that related to find me/follow me? And what do you mean by the partial ring?

Ok here is the scenario- I set up my forward / follow me and it works as it is supposed to, rings my desk set, my wireless ext and my cell phone all at the same time- if i do not answer any of the phones the call goes to my voicemail. After around an hour, when a call come to my desk set it basically rings for about a tenth of second and then drops the call, my wireless ext does not ring, my cellphone does not ring and the call does not go to voicemail. The caller only hears ringing and it never goes anywhere

its probably a bugged-ass version of asterisk, 90% of all the 1.6.x.x versions are seriously bugged. You're probably running one of them.

So I shall re-install using 1.4

what specific version are you currently running?

Asterisk 1.6.0.6

do you know how to download/compile/install asterisk?

Not even remotely- I can just re-install from the ISO but I will select 1.4 this time - I am just testing systems right now so its not a huge deal-

except that its likely the iso didnt come with 1.4.26.3 which is bug-free for the most part while still having all the major security patches from last year that prevent remote crashes and sip username discovery.
