We have for some time been installing a single port fxo card to use for timing into all our hosted pbx boxes. This was done due to some conference call audio quality issues which it immediately resolved. Since that day it became our standard setup as its a very minimial cost. We are looking to migrate to a new hardware platform (not virtual) that does not have an available slot for us to install a timing card.
So my question - is everyone using the dummy timing from dahdi? or are you installing a card as we are?
Its been some time since we ran without them (early dahdi installs right after zaptel swap) so we really dont want to bring up that issue again.
When we had problem:
Asterisk 1.6.0.xx
TL latest of the time
Now all boxes are:
Asterisk 1.8.7.1
TL latest
Thanks
We utilize conferencing pretty heavily using dahdi timing. No issues here.
Asterisk 1.8.4
