Centrex Call Forward

Posted by ipfreely on Wed, 11/18/2009

On most key systems, we have the ability to do what is called a "Centrex Call Forward" The feature is acctually on the copper analog trunks. When on a trunk you can initiate a flash and receive dialtone back on the same trunk. The original caller is placed on hold by the telco, at this point you can dial another phone number and hangup the original call is then transferred to the second dialed number and your Line 1 is free to take another call. You lose the ability to monitor the call for duration as the call is physically transferred via the telco. We use this feature alot when user want to call forward their extension off site to say a cell phone. This does not tie up all the lines. Is there a script in TL for this?

Thanks,
Chris A

This is not a supported dahdi feature. Technically the only forwarding feature supported by dahdi is when you use a PRI message to redirect a call freeing up the channel and that only works if your provider supports it.
