the main developer used to be an asterisk developer in the 1.0 era. I've avoided the code based entirely on the significantly smaller developer group so I can't say how much your mileage will vary. It seems that new releases (ie bug level releases) are spaced considerably further apart. I suppose its possible there were no bugs, but im skeptical. I would hate to have a bug that results in deadlocks and no new updates since july; not for a production machine.
