i am evaluation the multi tenant software
i am wondering if i install 729's if they are used in a pool for all the tenants or is it on a per tenant basis
and if they are per tenant and i remove the tenant do the 729's go byby or do they stay

the license has nothing to do with tenants. tenants operate on a layer above asterisk. asterisk does not have any such partitions on codecs. Make sure you buy enough licenses because it does not fail back to g711.

asterisk thing, once SDP negotiates a codec it then activates the codec license function, which then fails for not enough licenses. By then its too late to negotiate g711, the call simply fails.

yes, the sp100 completely eliminates the issues with nat and port redirection. it also serves as a gateway ip for the phones which run on a completely separate vlan.

Erik;
Would this device (sp100) go on the client side or on the server side - or both?

thanks;
Bob

it replaces the firwall/router and handles NAT, VPN, Firewalling and everythign else that a firewall/router usually manages.
