I have a two part question.
When I go to my external url for provisioning http://xx.xx.xx.xx/unauthenticated/provisioning the directory list the index. How do I prevent this?
What is the most secure way to expose my server to the outside world so that I can provision remotely.
thanks for any feedback,
Additional Help with http provisioning method?
Erik;
So to interupt your thread, but it was the closest relevent one I could find. I'm very new to asterix and looking for a solution just like Thirdlane Multitenant
Can you provide me with more specific instructiosn on autoprovisioning my Linksys SPA962.
1. I have followed the very basic\vague instructions in the admin guide. setting http as the provisioning method in the pbx manager settings.
2. Placed the http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/unauthenicated/provisioning in the provisioning profile rule on the web interface of the phone. I can navigate to this location and see the linksys 962 config file for the correct MAC address?
3. The phone does not seem to respond at all and the application does not return any status. I have tried rebooting both the PBX and the Phone.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Keith.
How can I even confirm they have seen one another?
i only use FTP and TFTP
i only use FTP and TFTP methods of provisioning, for the linksys it would be TFTP method. I use DHCP option to tell the phone how to reach the tftp server. It then searches spa(modelname).cfg (such as spa942.cfg) which basically gives it a few values in addition to re-writing its profile rule to
/spa$MA.cfg
which will then make it look for its macaddress file in the tftp provisioning directory.
use FTP and TFTP instead of http it can be setup so that you have to know the name of the file in order to view it, no indexing etc.
