'Intermittent' typically screams 'network issue' but I am only experiencing this on a single phone (Polycom 601) in an office of ~30 phones (Polycom 501):
About once per week the receptionist phone is unable to pick up a call. She takes the phone off the hook; no response, phone continues to ring; she presses the 'Answer' softkey, no response the phone continues to ring; after about 6-10 seconds the phone picks up.
A similar issue has occurred where a call cannot be transferred. The receptionist hits transfer, dials the extension and when the transferee picks up they cannot hear the receptionist. Canceling the transfer and trying a second time typically solves the problem.
Any ideas on what could be causing this?
Thank you in advance for any feedback.
probably NAT unless the phones on the same network as the pbx.
