So I have an environment setup which is live and new. Talk about getting thrown into the fire. I have been able to get everything working thanks to ThirdLane's untuitive user interface. The problem I am having now is when a user call in to our main number. The IVR picks up which is ok. When the user dials a valid extension they are transferred without error. So far so good.
If a user makes a mistake and dials an invalid extension they are disconnected from the system.
How can I fix this. I am using Muti Tenant PBX mgr 6.1.1.6.

I'm sorry but, do you mean in the IVR menu? I See Play invalid in there. If that is where you mean, my extensions are in the 2XX range. I have an IVR menu prompt for pushing 2 gets you to a Hunt list. So if a user dials 221 which is an available extension they are ok. If they dial 228 which is not setup they get disconnected.

2 questions and one point of concern:
1. did you put play invalid next to the Invalid handler in the ivr?
2. are you calling extensions by way of the checkbox that says 'allow calling extensions'?
3. Its generally a bad practice to use an IVR option that starts with the same numeral as the first digit of your extensions. This will invoke a 'wait for keypress' timer whereas other options respond immediately. You will get feedback that your ivr is somehow broken because option 2 doesnt work (in reality it does but it isn't immediate like the other digits).
Ok i now see where you mean.
Ok i now see where you mean. Thank you.
In reference to the bad practice of using IVR options that begin with extension numbers you are correct. Luckily the old pbx was the same so the users are used to that experience.
Thank you for your help.
Did you set up Invalid Input option for the IVR?
