Language problem for incoming calls

Posted by trinitel on Thu, 08/16/2012

Hi All,

I have a problem with language settings for incoming calls on MTE system. I only use 1 SIP trunk for all tenants but one of the tenant wants to use different language. It works fine for calls between the extensions if I set the language for this tenant extensions but not for the incoming calls. For example if the incoming call goes to voicemail it plays the default language (en). I can't change the language for the main SIP trunk because of the other tenants.
Is there any way to change the language for incoming calls for this one particular tenant?

Thanks
Peter

Also, how can I add additional languages to Language drop-down list (in Tenant and Extension management)?

Thanks
Peter

Do the tenants have separate DIDs? If so, you should be able to set the language on their DID. If they have a menu there's a language option on the IVR screen. It can be set there. If they don't and it just rings a phone, then write a dialplan script that sets the language and then calls their phone, and set the incoming route for their DID to go to that script.

If they don't have separate DIDs then probably the only thing you can do is offer a language choice on the main menu.
