I have an IVR where I've set option 2 to be: Leave Voicemail (silent). I don't want it to play the greeting - just to beep. Unfortunately it is playing the unavailable greeting.
here is cli output:
Executing [s@tl-main-menu-open-126679:9] BackGround("SIP/MainTrunk-00025858", "ogm/126679/Main_message") in new stack
-- Playing 'ogm/126679/Main_message.slin' (language 'en')
-- Executing [2@tl-main-menu-closed-127141:1] VoiceMail("SIP/MainTrunk-0009134c", "102@default-127141,s") in new stack
-- Playing '/var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/default-127141/102/temp.slin' (language 'en')
MTE: 6.1.1.6
Asterisk version: 1.6.2.11

it was a temporary greeting,
it was a temporary greeting, not sure why it was setup that way, but using unavailable now and it works great.
Do you have a tammperry greeting set in your voice mail? a Tammperry gretting will always overwrite... delete the tammerry greeting and shold be silant then
