I have it setup so that if someone calls after hours they are directed to an IVR menu.
"For our staff directory press 1"
"For more info press 2"
If you press either 1 or 2, there is a 10 second pause before the next menu fires. I have set the IVR Menus (1 and 2) to wait 0 seconds before playing, but that doesn't seem to do anything.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

That seems to have solved it. I was "ASSuming" that it meant that they could wait up to X seconds following the message before the message "timed out" or something along those lines.

that might be due to a 10 second digit timeout in your main ivr. digit timeout is number of seconds to wait between digits. This is called 'wait for key press' in the menu.
