MOH Random

I have a customer (which is a greeting and custom MOH voice over) complaining that even if random is selected it always starts with the same music file (not sure about the subsequent files) this customer is a marketing company and

I have tested it my self 3 times and it started the same file as well

Where could start looking into it

This might be a little too obvious, but you could check to make sure that /var/lib/asterisk/moh has more than one audio file in it. I was dumb enough once to fall for that.

i played around a little and i figured out if you select random prior to uploading any files (soon after you create the play list) the random check box stay selected but it doesn't play random, however if you deselect save and reselect it starts random playing

I was having a similar problem and after reading this post I just made a new playlist without checking Random, and I can alter this value post-creation now.
In short, do not check random when creating a new playlist.
