MTE and Vtiger

Posted by diffen on Tue, 07/20/2010

Hello

We have one Thirdlane MTE and a couple of customer that uses Vtiger. Is it possible to let them integrate Vtiger with Thirdlane MTE?

The customers have their own Vtiger and they are in separate tenants.

no, the vtiger implementation of pbxmanager is limited to STE, trying to add tenant names not only does not work but also broke the vtiger interface. Weird things like trying to save accounts didnt work unless you were in edit mode and other strangeness. As soon as I removed my extension everything worked again.

Complete integration of MTE with vTiger won't work but (I did not try it myself) you may try to do the caller id based lookup from the user portal. You'll have to find out URL format to do reverse caller id lookup in vTiger.

Hello,

Ok so it may work on incoming calls lookup, but not have a call history in vTiger?

Is it a limitation in vTiger or in Thirdlane?

Lookup may work, the rest I am not sure. I have not tried multiple vTiger installations with one Thirdlane MTE - I would think that it is vTiger where the limitations may be. Having one vTiger definitely won't work - vTiger is not multi-tenant.

as soon as you make an entry like

564-bgn for Asterisk Extension instead of its expected 564, all sorts of weirdness happens, however incoming calls do begin to popup matches. History, however, does not. It was not prepared to see the -tenant and suddenly you get errors throughout vtiger about unspecified 'bgn' when you try to do something like line edits on objects.

if you put in 564 when your sip extension is really SIP/564-bgn then history seems to work but matching incoming calls does not.
