New Tenant Added - No route - can use a trunk not available

Posted by brian on Fri, 02/19/2010

Hello,

Just added a new tenant..

Copied everything from a template tenant I have setup.

Added Trunk specific to this tenant for outbound calls.

Assigned DID's and added one extension.

Didn't setup outbound route yet

Registered SIP device with new tenant extension.

Made a call - not no trunk assigned to utbound route.

'_. Unrestricted Dial Out (1 trunk) **None** All Outgoing '

Call went out over trunk assigned to different tenant.

'Available to' is setup as other tenant on the trunk.

This should never happen. A tenant should never be able to access another tenants trunk.

Regards,
Brian

you cloned that tenant and said to copy the routes.. what did you think was going to happen? making a trunk specific to a tenant (bad idea from the start) simply prevents it from showing up in the GUI when selecting a trunk in the outbound route creation screen. When you clone something you're copying a file and bypassing the GUI all together.. asterisk doesn't give a damn about one tenant or another. If asterisk is told to place a call on trunk labled XYZ it bridges the call to trunk XYZ. The gui just prevents it from showing up in a list.

Next time dont clone the outbound routes.
