I had an older version of MTE (demo) installed on a box that I was having trouble with CID not working, so not knowing enough, I downloaded and installed a clean build with the latest IOS MTE, then upgraded the GUI (for MTE) via webmin to be sure I had the latest software. However now my outgoing SIP call do not work. (extension to extension works fine) I get a fast busy on outgoing. Does anyone have any ideas on what to look at via the logs? (running tail -f /var/log/asterisk/messages does not provide enough detail)

I appreciate your time in responding. That said, I have read the Thirdlane Admin PDF & their is no reference of this section, nor does it give you options as to what should be on the lines: Default External Caller ID or Default External Caller ID Name. Perhaps you could point me in the direction of a source of valid information that not only explains these fields, but also provides options with explanations of each option....

The outbound route was not set to use "trunk". that's why outbound calls did not work. (not the cid setting)
Thanks anyway for your help, it would appear that you spend the most time trying to answer questions on this forum, and for that we are grateful!
It would be nice to see Alax's group answer questions as they are the direct recipient of funds spent on Thirdlane...
Also, would be good to see more detailed docs explaining each setting in the Thirdlane MTE product.

use the asterisk -r interface and see why you are getting a congestion/busy reply back. Most common reason a provider rejected your call is due to not setting the default callerid in tenant management. This is NOT optional :-) . Fill the damn thing out =) (sorry, 4th person to have this problem inside a week actually)
