All,
I seem to have a problem with my Polycom 601s when moving them to the Thirdlane box. It seems that anytime a call is in process and a new call comes in, the current call is placed on hold. I cannot reproduce this with my Polycom 650.
I could not get the 601 (or the spare 501 I have lying around) to auto provision unlike the 650 which is using the TL auto-provision script. I started digging around. It seems that there are some things I have to change in order to get legacy and non-legacy Polycom hardware working off of the same provisioning server. Everyone is telling me to read Technical Bulletin 35311, but Polycom's Knowledge Base seems to be down and (much to my surprise) my CPC has expired (I'll be fixing this soon).
Does anyone have a copy of 35311 or know what I need to do to get all of my phones working off of the same provisioning server?
Or, for that matter, am I even looking at this the right way?
im guessing your talking
im guessing your talking about the special info that tells the legacy phones to use firmware 3.1.2 and not the current firmware.
I had someone complain about
I had someone complain about this problem last week. I can't seem to find the TB. Can someone send me details, please?
Polycom finally got their KB back up and running and I was able to find TB 35311. All of my phones are up to date with the current bootrom and sip app.
I was also able to pull the provisioning config and, as expected, existing calls were no longer placed on hold when a second call came in.
