All;
I am testing some echo cancellation techniques over a single PSTN line, but as I set it up, I realize that I am missing something that should be obvious to me. I can clearly setup the analog line to answer when I call in. I have Zap/1 as the DS0 and Zap/3 as the phone. Piece of cake. But how do I set it up such that the phone on Zap/3 always dials out on Zap/1? Right now it matches the 10 digit dialplan and dials out the SIP trunk. One way would be to add a prefix, say "9" that tells Asterisk to strip the "9" and then dialout the Zap trunk. Is there a more elegant way of doing this?
Thanks Much;
Frank

for testing purposes thats probably the most effective way..
btw dont forget to prepend a 'w' to your dialstring on analog lines, it will drastically cut down on the number of incomplete outbound calls as the first digit sometimes pulses before the far end is ready to receive.
