sip to pstn adapter

Hi Folks,

What is a good sip to pstn adapter to use for faxing and alarm panels to communicate over?

none, alarm panels do not work well over voip. you don't want to risk a wrongful death lawsuit because someone punched in an emergency duress code because they were made to deactivate at gun point and for whatever reason it didn't reach the monitoring center. I wouldn't risk it, not for an alarm panel.

see https://nextalarm.com/abn.jsp for more details

as for faxing devices, I've used everything from a 2port linksys ATA to a 24port IAD like the adtran total access 900 series.

I've used the grandstream handy tone 286 and it would lock up a lot.
Do you have any suggestions what would work good for a fax machine?

how deep are your pockets?

supposedly the new cisco SPA-122's have made good improvements for faxing but still not perfect. Audiocodes now has that HTTPS faxing ATA thats 100% but from what I am told, you'll be investing about $5k on the backend hardware to connect to the PSTN.

you could always outsource it to FaxSIPit
