I have setup a new installation on Vmware ESx6, downloaded the latest version 8.0 and setup an IP address. I can access the Webmin, from there updated all the packages and started the Thirdlane Communications Manager.
Then a wizard starts with license agreement, database settings, CDR etc.etc.
When this wizard is finished the screen says "loading application" then i get a pop-up:
" The server returned the error status code =-1"
"Internal server error"
And then the screen says "Loading of the application failed!"
What could i be doing wrong or what can i do to troubleshoot this? I must say the documentation on installation and first use is wortheless. So I am presuming i am doing everything correct, but it seems i'm forgetting something here.

I am sorry you are having problems. Using an old version is not the best option,as you will be missing quite a bit of functionality.
Try updating to the latest version at the shell prompt:
yum clean all
yum update
If that does not help, let us know and we will look at your server - we will need both webmin and SSH root access
I've found another ISO on this site and now I installed version 7.5.2.1
I still get the error message during install but at least now the application works. I have a trial license for 30 days so i'm going to do my testing with this version.
