Dashboard no longer working after 9.0.2 upgrade (MT version)

Posted by mcampbell@1poi… on Sat, 08/25/2018

Hello,

I upgraded our TL MTE system from 8.3.1.2 to 9.0.2 this evening. Afterwards I noticed the graph thumbnails now show broken links for CPU Usage, Memory Usage, Processes, et al.

Clicking on any of these thumbnails takes you to a page that displays "nginx error!
The page you are looking for is not found."

Had a look at /var/log/nginx/error.log and it is polluted with entries such as "2018/08/25 23:39:39 [error] 2170#0: *273 open() "/usr/share/nginx/html/maint/munin/localhost/localhost/cpu.html" failed (2: No such file or directory), client: 127.0.0.1, server: _, request: "GET /maint/munin/localhost/localhost/cpu.html HTTP/1.0", host: "127.0.0.1""

The directory /usr/share/nginx/html contains no subdirectories and only a handful of files (404.html, 50x.html, index.html, nginx-logo.png, poweredby.png.)

I see the file cpu.html still exists at /var/www/html/munin/localhost/localhost/cpu.html and is current.

What can be done to resolve this issue?

I have noticed on 9.0.2 you have to add port 10000 or you get the nginx webpage, maybe the same for the dashboard.

Please check if you have /etc/nginx/conf.d/default.conf file on your system. If yes, remove it, restart Nginx and try again.
