I ran into a strange problem tonight on MT when setting up a new tenant:
When this tenant's extensions were first provisioned, they had External Caller ID Numbers and Names entered direct into each extension. None of them could dial out through the gateway. When I checked asterisk, it wasn't setting Caller ID Name or Number at all, and the gateway was rejecting the 'unknown' fields in the resultant URI.
After much frustration and consternation, I went to Tenant Management and configured a default Caller ID Number and Name, and went back and set all the extensions to use the default. All of them started working, and even per-extension overrides now work.
But the weird thing is that none of my other (3) tenants required the default Caller ID number or name to be populated in Tenant Mgt. to allow their extensions to work.
Any ideas? Maybe I'm kinda behind on 6.0.1.41...
Had a similar problem when a trailing space was put into that field with the phone number. Call was rejected by our SiP router as having a 'bad from header'.
