Auto Provisioning - Cisco 7970 IP Phone

Posted by dannas@triadte… on Fri, 03/06/2009

Has anyone created an auto-provisioning template for the Cisco 7970? If so, I would really like to get a copy :-)

Thanks

if you want to send me a 7970 and the sip firmware I'm sure I could probably get something going ;-)

i have working examples and will post them.

the 7970 (and several others in the cisco line) are java based rather than their standard sip load

I have them working, but till now I couldn't complete a provisioning template.

Still working with the XMLs to provide all the services on the buttons.

Just checking to see if anyone has new Cisco 7970 configs they can share. I understand these phones are Java based instead of the usual SIP. So I'm assuming for those who have them have some XML templates that can be used.

thanks,

Eric

If they aren't SIP devices then they will not work with Thirdlane.

the 7970 can do sip if you upgrade the firmware

The point is Java is a programming language, not a protocol. SIP, SCCP, SDP, MGCP are all protocols and can be implemented by a variety of programming languages, including java.
