Does anyone know how to dial an extension from voicemail? The only option I see is the ability to dial a user custimizable operator.

Or you could do the voice
Or you could do the voice mail greeting to actually be a ivr voice menu, basically the call goes (either trough inbound route or trough a feature extension) to a hunt or ring group go to a single extension and on time out sent to ivr/voice menu which should play the voice mail greeting and allow dialing extensions, and set on no input to go to voice mail silent and do wait for response 1 or max 2 seconds that will do the trick (though it will not follow the forwarding rules if the local extension since it is a hunt or ring group)
On second thought you might do operator extension to go to a ivr and than tell the caller that he could either enter the extension or leave a message after the tone, and the send to voice mail silent when no input (but it will be a 2 step proccess)

Nice hack. Just use a feature code to point to an IVR. I will give it a go!

im actually using the first
im actually using the first option in a few cases therefore I'm looking for an option either in a ring group or in a hunt list to be able to set it should follow the forwarding rules with call accept and reject so it will now highjack the ring group

this would only work for STE, since the context you specify is a global setting in voicemail.conf
