Standard Thirlane not MTE

Posted by ipfreely on Thu, 10/22/2009

I am an MTE user using SIP trunks and PRI. I am however installing the single tenant version right now, and am using analog trunks. How do I associate multiple trunks into a trunk group, so that when a user dials 9 they have access to all the trunks?

Thanks,
Chris A

specify the range in chan_dahdi.conf and group=1 and then label your dadhi trunk 'G1' .. it will place calls in highest to lowest port # sequence.

Hi Erik,

Thanks. I assume then I do not need to add each line in the thirdlane trunks, I should only have 1 entry spefied as Gx (whatever truunk group I have configed in chan_dahdi.conf).

On a side note with my MTE server, when I setup auto provisioning all files for each phone i wished to auto provion was automatically generated in a folder /unauthebticted/provisioning. The same holds true for this version although there is no sip.cfg file located anywhere on the server. I kow I require this file, maybe just a bug??

I used the .iso to load

Thanks,

Chris A

not a bug, you still need to download and install the firmware (which includes phone1.cfg and sip.cfg) for the polycom phones. The sip.cfg and phone1.cfg are not standard, they pair with the specific version of firmware and therefore we do not alter these files. Instead we make overide declarations for what we want to change but load everything else default as defined for a specific generation of firmware.
