Media Voice Recordings

Posted by ipfreely on Sat, 10/24/2009

Hi,
I am using PBX Manager 6.0.1.72. I am using the standard version loaded via the .iso I have tried 2 installs on differnet machines and am having the same problem.
When I try to do a voice recording. I select a logged in extension, specify a name like "test"and press start recording. At that point the browser just refreshes and nothing happens. The Extension specifed does not ring. Any thoughts? It is as if the extension is specified is not logged in, but it is and I can call it from other extensions. I have tried multiple extensions and different names, same result.

Thanks,
Chris A

Hi Erik,
The phones were polycoms, the issue was in the manager.conf file.
I had to add originate in the write statement. Maybe something new for 1.6.

Thanks

you must have upgreaded to 1.6 after installing an older version of thirdlane.. newer versions add all the options.. check in /usr/libexec/webmin/asterisk/../.. for the manager.conf that gets added on initial installation to see all the additional options you need to include.

Thanks for the advice, there was quite a bit that needed to be added. However, I did not upgrade to 1.6 from 1.4. When I did the .iso install I selected 1.6 install, and that is what was created during install.

Thanks,
Chris
