Thirldane with Analog trunks

Posted by ipfreely on Mon, 11/09/2009

I have a thirdlane install, using a Digium TDM800 w/ echo cancellation.
There was a default route created, catch all s extension. There is also a Channel to DID setup. I have used the setup so fo example Channel 1 is mapped to 1111. I have then created an inbound route for DID 1111. No matter what I do incoming calls always go to the s exten.
Do I require any settings in the chan_dahdi files for this to work? I changed the context to from-outside.

Also

I need to setup 1 trunk in another group with dial 8 access. I have setup a global variable called DIALOUT2 = 8. I have created outbound riutes using the _${DIALOUT2} prefix, and allowed the handsets to be provisioned to dial 8. I cannot seem to get the dialout working. any thoughts?

Lastly

I will stop soon. The next is an Asterisk issue, nothing to do with thirdlane, but maybe someone can help. I have terrible echo and staic with the copper trunks. I have tried adjusting rxgain and txgain, but it is not great. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Chris A

analog lines ALWAYS match against 's' when they originate into dialplan. 's' has to redirect it to another extension via macro.

So what is the channel to DID section for. I thought it was a way for inbound analog trunks to be tagged differently, So that whn it hits from-outside, It knows not to send it to the 's' extension?
