I'm interested in a solution of customizing the outbound dialing permissions for user extensions using PBX Manager (installed version 6.0.1.78).
Currently the system offers the possibility to disallow the calls to so called "restricted numbers". Those numbers are defined in the "Outbound Routes" by setting "restricted" type when creating an outbound route.
We need a further customization of the restricted outbound routes in order to be able to configure per individual user extension which of these rules are allowed to be used. Otherwise, with the current setup, we are able just to set "all or nothing".
Is it possible to define custom types for the outbound rules and use them in the user extension configuration page to setup the dialing permissions? Or is it possible to create a custom script to handle the outgoing calls from a particular extension and apply there some permission checks?
Any other ideas?

these arent for single numbers.. its for patterns
i dont want this class of user making LD calls.. so i restrict 1NXXNXXXXXX
or if you are in an 11 digit location....
I allow all the NPANXX's that are local and put the 1NXXNXXXXXX inside a restricted pattern.
it sounds as though you have a serious trust issue going on w/ your employees. You should write custom code that refuses to let anyone dial a toll-incurring call unless they input a PIN number, which then writes a log specifying who authenticated the call. Dont overlook the fact that if you put 100 restrictions on phoneA that the user will just go to phoneB to make that call.
your problem really isnt a technical one. the mafia never needed complex programming to keep their members from skimming the books. They had that under control 50 years before the first computer.
