Greetings;
We have a customer who has purchased space on our MT system and they are using the Linksys spa500s Admin console to monitor extensions.\
We are struggling to make this work and have used this documet to set things up: https://www.myciscocommunity.com/docs/DOC-11522 (there is a pdf embedded in the article). The device simply won't register with the server. (the phone it is attached to works great)
any help or suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks;
Bob

there's an example for the 932 exp module in the provisioning templates. should be identical. The only problem with a template solution is that they didn't continue the line key # like the other phones do.. ie if theres 6 buttons on the phone, the first exp module button is 7 and so on. They numbered it in a non-linear fashion which leaves you programming it out of the gui. But at least once you set it up its done for the most part.

Eric;
Thanks for the tip, I am looking at the auto provisioning component now. Sadly we've been manually programming the phones for our customers to this point (we use cisco spa500 phones and Mitel 5212).
Is there any good documentation on auto provisioning around - with the MTE Version? our customers are all off site - do we need the MAC address entered for the phone to make this work?
Cheers;

this was resolved by modifying the suggested string from Cisco for the actual console button. I thought I would include it for others using the MT Edition to help them. The console is an excellent addition.
fnc=sd+cp+blf;sub=201@0.0.0.0,nme=ext-account
fnc= (function =)
sd - speed dial
cp - call pickup
blf - busy lamp field
sub - ip address of mt server
nme - extension and account number
Hope this helps
Bob
