Support and Call Pickup groups

Posted by whheesen on Thu, 06/10/2010

Hi

We are a VoIP service provider in South Africa and we are very interested in using your multi tenant interface for our hosted-pbx solution.
The interface looks very good an almost perfectly caters for our needs. We are currently running it on Debian with success.

We would like to move to the commercial version soon and migrate all customers to the new system. I just have a few questions before finalising the order:

1. Could you please provide us more information regarding the support we get with the commercial version?
2. The exchange rate makes it a substantial investment for us as we have to pay in Rands. Do you have any other pricing available for the South African market?
3. Do you have any local dealers / support.
4. If we have trouble with calls / one way audio etc would you also be able to support us on this?

There is also one feature that we haven’t been able to get working. It’s the call pickup feature / call groups. Could you please us to get this working? Please let me know what details you would need from us.

Please note I have sent the above to sales but I am not getting any response?

Thanks
Heinrich Heesen

none... what you think you get a full pbx AND free support for nearly nothing? ;-) LOL... However, paid support is available to purchase in blocks of time. The forums are also freely available should a community member have the time to post a response.

2. The exchange rate makes it a substantial investment for us as we have to pay in Rands. Do you have any other pricing available for the South African market?

This is the same situation we have with software sold in Euro.. its just the nature of a global economy. For 4 years straight my Queuemetrics price went up every single day due to exchange rates. I would jump on the price now while its still as cheap as it is. It doesnt matter how bad the exchange rate is, no comparable product is cheaper even if its priced in Rands. The other similar products are 20X more expensive at their entry levels.

3. Do you have any local dealers / support.

https://www.thirdlane.com/partners/resellers is the list of resellers worldwide.

4. If we have trouble with calls / one way audio etc would you also be able to support us on this?

this falls under the same as #1. If you are worried about it you should buy some support contracts.

Comparing this product to, lets say, Broadsoft mass hosting solution ($1.2Million upfront $120k recurring); if you spend $10k on your MTE with licensing and hardware you still have $1,190,000.000 dollars available for support.

this is a limitation of asterisk which does not work well in MTE.. instead we have implemented Directed Call Pickup where you specify the extension to retrieve.

Hi Erik

Thank you for your reply.

To confirm the support includes all Asterisk and Interface related support?

Could you give me an idea what an annual support contract would cost and the terms attached to it?

We will be able to do allot of the support ourselves but our skill level is not 100% there yet for a production system.

Regards,
Heinrich
