Upgrade to 1.6.2.13

Posted by fuse3 on Wed, 10/20/2010

Well we are looking to upgrade a handful of boxes from 1.6.0.28 to 1.6.2.13. I did see the post from owenc and that is making me think twice about the upgrade.

Anyone else running 1.6.2.x?

I setup an MTE cluster a couple months ago running 1.6.2.10, this was their comment today when I asked how its been going:

Actually, pretty well. A few somewhat big bugs here or there (like the voicemail lights show up randomly on phones when there are no messages, delay in audio when calls first come in randomly across tenants, etc) but for the most part, its been stable.

Interesting, sounds like 1.6.2.x might be worth a shot. Does raise concerns on the post from owenc.

I've just went from 1.6.0.26 to 1.6.2.12 (latest in the asterisk.org yum repo last week) and am not seeing any issues so far.

Upgrade went very smooth with the exception of the g729 module being for 1.6.0 and causing a nasty segmentation fault. Grabbed the correct g729 module and all seems well.

Real test is Monday morning when the users arrive.

Anything to do in TL to let it know I went from 1.6.0.x to 1.6.2.x? (This box is STE)

So far so good. The customer called us to say the have handled a couple hundred calls over the last 2 or 3 hours and havent had a single issue. Fingers are crossed.
