Linksys SPA3xx and 5xx auto provisioning

Posted by civey on Thu, 11/04/2010

Try to build the auto provisioning of the Linksys product line.
I have the Polycoms already built and working but I would like to include the Linksys product line in the system.

What files do I need to obtain and ensure they are in the /home/PlcmSpIp folder to make this go through before I make the changes to the models.txt file and the .cfg file in /etc/asterisk/user_provisioning?

Thanks

If I understand this design correctly.
I want to update the models.txt (within /etc/asterisk/user_provisioning) with just the devices that I would like to see in the list of the phone model? I tried this and it still populates all of the phones and I guess it is getting this information from the /etc/asterisk/provisioning folder.

Ideas as to how I can do this?

it reads this file, then goes back to the other file. So if you put in some-new-model only in user_provisioning then it will show that among many of the others.

if you copy a specific model from provisioning/ and put it into the user_provisioning/ file and made changes.. your user_provisioning config would be the one used, not the one in provisioning/

I deleted all from the user_provisioning except IP330 and IP550 but it still shows all in the drop down box.

I have tried everything but I cannot get this phone to work.

I cannot get the thing to create the cfg file and I am sure it is because their is some file missing from the /home/PlcmSpIp folder that it needs.

Any information would be helpful.

Thanks

I don't have that much experience with linksys phones. have you ensured that the linksys is connecting via tftp to your tftp server? have you checked the system log to see the tftp requests to ensure the files are being requested correctly?
