Language questions

Posted by diffen on Mon, 11/08/2010

Hello,

We have translated the English language file to Swedish. It looks really great but we have a couple of problems left. We did replace our Swedish language file with Spanish one. The file that we have edited are: /usr/libexec/webmin/asterisk/lang/es.

1. When I login as a user and tries to click on "Call History" and set a date and then press "Select" nothing happens. It's like the button doesn't work at all.
2. The cancel button are named "Cancelar" name of months and days are in Spanish and not the Swedish. Are there a second language file that we should edit?

curious, why did you decide to overwrite spanish instead of using the swedish locale 'sv' ? I'm sure some language packs are borrowed from webmin.

Erik,

I guess I was lazy when just getting started with the translation (it has taken 6 months). So just to try the file we just overwrote the Spanish file since we don't have any Spanish users as customers.

Do you know where I can find information regarding how a language in /usr/libexec/webmin/asterisk/lang/ are connected to the webmin interface? I have found the config.info.es file but there are not path there either.

Does the Call history work if you login as a user and change the language to Spanish and tries to view call history?

Hi Jorgen,

My guess about the days coming out in spanish is that because we are telling webmin that the language is spanish it uses your file for whatever keywords it can find and the rest (like days and some standard keywords like "cancel") it takes from standard webmin translations - and since the language is spanish they are in spanish. So to get those correctly we have to tell the system that the file is in swedish - and for that I will have to add Swedish to the list of languages in PBX Manager. Please send me the file, I will add swedish and will take a look at what else may be required.

Thank you very much for the translation!

Hello Gary,

If you have overwritten the Spanish file? Grab a new one from a new .iso installation.
