Something I noticed in setting phones today (Linksys 962) for provisioning was that the all buttons only activated line one leaving 2-6 un usable. Or am I missing something on its meaning..?

Provisioning (All buttons) setting
Alex,
I did notice this working on the SPA-941 BUT only labels the first line, it leaves all the other lines blank.
I have more 942 on order will test when I get then in as for the 962 only line 1 works, all the other lines are disabled..
BTW you alive out there..?

Phone Display
I notice that when an extension is created, phone type picked and MAC added the settings under pro for line one All buttons is the same as that was entered in the Internal Caller ID field of the extension.
BUT if you make a change to the Internal Caller ID field its not reflected in provisioning. Can this be fixed..?
Currently the only way to change this display is to do it under provisioning. This is simple enough BUT I have not found a way to give the admin if a tenant access to provisioning..
Am I missing something..?

Provisioning (All buttons) setting - problem found
If a phone had already been configured with out provisioning the code used to create the provisioning MAC.cfg file is missing the code to get the line and display back to the phones defaults.
If you are not able to set to the factory default and this is useful to you let me know and I'll post the code
George
If you want to set the display on the Linksys phones to the entered label name in provisioning in the configuration editor edit the files linksys_line_9xxx.cfg and replace
< Short_Name_${LINE}_> ${USERID} < /Short_Name_ ${LINE}_ >
with
< Short_Name_${LINE}_ > ${LINE_LABEL} < /Short_Name_${LINE}_ >
when the phone updates it will displace the text you set in the Label field in provisioning.
NOTE this is a global setting for ALL spa-9xxx phones
Alex you should think about adding this to the defaults as it only affect provisioned phones
