Just had a customer call and tell me they had a voice mail issue today. For background information, please note that the extension in question used to be for 'person A' but has since been configured for 'person B.'
Customer reported that today for some reason, that the extension in question had reverted back to the old voice mail message. That is, the extension currently configured for person B was reflecting person A voice mail message.
This extension has been reconfigured for person B for some time now without issue. Anyone else seen anything like this before?
what about the temp greeting?
what about the temp greeting? it overrides both avail and unavail no matter how many times you record them?
To my knowledge this person
To my knowledge this person never recorded a temp greeting, so on that I am not sure. Also, this is the first time this has come up, and once they rerecorded it, it has stuck since. Ill see if it pops up again on the same account. Unfortunately, the client had already rerecorded his greeting before I was able to look at the issue at all.
To add to this, I just took a peek in the folder to see if I saw the old voice mail greeting, and it was not there. I was told the client rerecorded the unavail/busy greeting this morning, so its entirely possible that before he only had setup one or the other, and today the message he hadnt set up was triggered or something of that nature.
