Extensions not recognized.

Posted by IVSCOMM on Tue, 12/06/2011

I have a car dealership with 30 odd extensions that have been working perfectly for about a year. They are adding another dealership in another city at the end of the week. Today I added about 40 phones via Bulk Generator and all of a sudden none of the BLF's work (but a few still do) and you can't call directly or transfer a call from extension 310 to other extensions on the system (ie. ext313) but you can transfer to VM. And the phones still work to make outbound calls or if they are in a hunt group the hunt group still works. I have rebooted all phones to no avail. The new phones are extension 200 range and have no conflict and you can call the new phones and transfer without incident.

Any Ideas? I am baffled?

When I ran the Bulk generator a second time for a different location it deleted some of the entries from the extensions.include file. Only some (most) of them and for no apparent reason. Once I recreated these manually in the file, all services restored.

It's happened to me multiple times with the single tenant release.

Always extensions disappear from the bottom of extensions.include. I've reported it a few times.
