Call Parking not working in Asterisk 1.8.7.1

We have newly installed asterisk 1.8.7.1. In this versoin call parking is not working when we transfer the call to 700 it says '701' but when we dail 701 it does't pick up

Can You help us on this issue.

thats a complex problem with many possible solutions to several different problems all giving you this generalized result. this is not something that can be fixed via forum posts. This is the kind of thing that would take a few hours to determine the cause of your failure and then fixing the problem.

I did check that Module app_valetparking is not installed. Can you please suggest me on this. That is the reason why i am getting this problem..

it doesnt exist.. that was a 1.4 thing. this tells me that you upgraded from 1.4 a new branch. Parking is completely different now. In order to get your parking working there's about 1hr of work to do on your installation to enable the feature and so forth. This will do nothing for your existing tenants. In order to get your existing tenants working you're looking at anywhere from 10min to 30min per tenant depending on how many extensions there are etc.
