Is anyone familiar with a script available to be able to listen in and/or barge in on a call? My previous experience with asterisk has mostly been with a system called Enswitch. They offered this and it seemed to work very well. TL seems to be highly configurable (the reason i went with this solution over Enswitch) aside from the obvious cost difference.
I want to be able to create a feature extension, say *77xxxx that will allow my customer to listen in on a call. Ideally I want to also be able to create a similar feature that will allow my customer to speak to either side of the conversation, but only be heard by the one with whom he's speaking. Previously I had to specify the CALLED PARTY or the CALLING PARTY.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Thanks Erik,However I have
Thanks Erik,
However I have been playing around with the script. (unsuccessfully) My customers have been used to dialing a command and entering the call. Getting them to use software running on a computer won't be something these particular few will want to do.
isymphony seems to cost money. I see a 595.00 dollar fee. Is this something I would purchase as a provider, load on my server and then my customers pay the lesser 19 dollars to utilize the client software?
isymphony works this
isymphony works this way..
$595 for server license (comes with 1 tenant licence, 1 client connection, 1 queue)
additional tenants costs $200
additional queues costs $50
additional client connections for each tenant costs $20
as far as what you charge your customer, thats entirely up to you.. you could charge them a monthly per-seat costs that recoup this cost over time.
easy way or hard way?
iSymphony has this feature already built in and all you do is click the barge icon on the profile that is having a conversation..
the hard way is to write a script, but that script wont have NEARLY the security that isymphony has in place. iSymphony not only restricts WHO can record a call but to WHOM the barge can be performed on.
