I have installed SSMTP to handle outbound email. I have configured it to use SSMTP in /etc/asterisk/voicemail.conf and have modified the /usr/local/sbin/fax2pdf script as well. Outbound email works fine for "voicemail to email" and for the mailing of "inbound faxes". However, the "Send notification of receipt" option does not work for "outbound faxes".
Is there a script called that I can modify to get this last part working properly?

seriously? there's maybe 10 files in that directory and after 10 days you still havent looked to see? Did it occur to you to look in one of the two files with fax in their name?

If you read my first post, you should know that I've already modified the fax2pdf.sh which is how I got the "Inbound faxing to email" to work.
