Online CRM screen pop

I have a question that uses a proprietary client database online off the corporate server.

They access this through a web browser, what I would like is a program they can use that will run in the background and when a call comes in it will input the caller ID into a field on the web page.

Also it will enable a click to dial feature on the web page so the customer does not have to renter numbers all of the time to call customers.

Any ideas how to accomplish this or a software to look into?

there are several,

for STE where the pbx is on-net with the workstation, the thirdlane dialer works for this purpose

the user portal also has an embedded screen pop app that works for some applications

isymphony has a really good screen pop controller that can do 'on-ringing' 'on answer' 'on click' etc.. just just when you get called.
