CRM Intergration

Posted by schat@schat.net on Tue, 02/21/2012

I am looking for the best Crm to setup with an intergrated help desk.
Since Thirdlane support vtiger. It woudl be a cool feature to pass caller id to the crm
Do any users have any input on this product.
Will thirdlane work with a windows install of vtiger?

thirdlane STE works with the vtiger implementation. Vtiger's code was not able to handle the -dash-tenant extension for an MTE integration. Not only did it get the part where extension and channel would be different, but something about the dash really messed up the rest of the crm in a very unpredictable way. Certain screens simply stopped being able to load and the generating PDF statements, sales orders, and quotes, kept crashing.

there is another approach you can take though...

there is a firefox plugin that will take phone numbers and turn them into callto: urls and you can still click-to-call from a number in vtiger to call that contact. That would not be limited to just vtiger, but would work on any site that displayed phone numbers.

I wrote this article
http://wiki.thirdlane.com/index.php/Unifying_the_Desktop_with_Thirdlane

that explains how to get click-to-dial into various pieces of your everyday applications

Is this still the case under v7?

I'm getting a fairly steady stream of requests for integration, so would like to know.

And if it is, will it ever be possible?

Alex advised me that all CRM links work correctly on v7. Vtiger is one of them, so I can only assume the answer is yes.

We support many CRMs but Salesforce integration is kept the most up-to-date. We recently updated Zoho CRM integration following Zoho authentication process update.

CRM integration and Click to Cal is also implemented in our Chrome and Edge extension - which you can find here https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/click-to-call-cti-for-crm/cbj… - please leave a comment if you find it useful.

Feel free to contact us regarding CRM integration if your CRM is not on the list of supported CRMs.
