Extension able to view 1 incoming calls

Posted by onplatinumict on Wed, 10/08/2014

Good Afternoon (AEST time)

We are running MTE v 7.2.1 with Cisco SPA525g handsets.

I have a tenant that has a receptionist and they want to be able to see 2 to 4 lines at same time. Currently I have setup a hunt list which goes to a queue and they are a member of. Once the first call is answered the rest sit in a queue and the receptionist is unable to see these calls until the current has ended.

Apart from setting up 2 - 4 extensions on the phone is there another way to configure this?

Thanks

Simon

thats one option.. but you can also set some queue settings to prevent the queue from holding other callers

Ring Busy Members - this should be set to yes so that you get a invite while on a call
Connect Members in Parallel - should also be set to yes.

another option is to get software to view the queue in realtime (such as flash operator panel2, iSymphony, or Thirdlane Live Monitor)

Thanks Erik

I did have it setup like that originally but the client wanted to have it visible on a separate line on the phone. They actually wanted 3 extra lines for incoming calls so that people didn't have to sit in a queue and the receptionist could put the original call on hold and answer the second, third or fourth.
