New Google link for CRM?

Posted by raven on Tue, 12/09/2014

Hi,
it appears my CRM pops has stopped working sometime back. It appears that the link that was default in the system:

http://www.google.com/search?rls=en&q=phonebook:${callerid:1:10}

doesn't really work anymore. I don't see any change at an extensions CRM POPs page when a call comes in, the default instructions that tell you what's up display and never go away; the java doesn't even try to load.

When I change the link to use SSL, like so (because Google forces SSL when I do a manual lookup with the above link):

https://www.google.com/search?rls=en&q=phonebook:${callerid:1:10}&gws_rd=ssl

I see the java load acceptance box, then the CRM POPs page instructions go away like its going to try to display something, but it never does.

Is there an updated link I should be using?

Thanks

I don't think that google offers the reverse caller id lookup anymore. Neither do many other formerly free services - unfortunately most of the phone lookup services are no longer free.

That could be part of it, but I wonder if something is still not working or running in the Thirdlane. When I monitor IP traffic when a call comes in, I see considerable packets both ways between the computer with the browser and the thirdlane at port 5038. But I don't see any other traffic come out from the Thirdlane to the internet to look up anything. Maybe something got turned off somewhere, is there someway to check something?
On the CRM pop in the user portal, is it not just a simple browser that would show whatever Google (or anyone else) responded with for the request, even if the request was bad?

We are in the late stages of implementing new approach to CRM integration - both in PBX and the Call Center. Stay tuned.
